I grew up with two brothers – the only girl in the family. It was a little challenging sometimes, especially in such an isolated town like Bear River, Wyoming. Other girls were a bit hard to come by. Friends in general were a bit hard to come by with a population of only four hundred and eighty seven people. My graduating class had eighteen members, for crying out loud! But anyway though, like I said, I had two brothers. Of course I turned out to be a rough and tumble tomboy. My brothers and I would go exploring in the nearby Wyoming wilderness and throw rocks into the stream. We swam in the summer and raced in the fall, went sledding on garbage can lids in the winter and tormented each other during those annoying spring showers. We were the best of buds. One day my mom came home with a surprise for all of us. An IPOD. She said we had to share it (probably because she knew how destructive we were) but we didn’t mind. We each took turns and loaded our favorite songs on the hard drive. We’d share it during most days, or switch off day-to-day. Things were going great until my two brothers got into a fight. They were at that annoying, arrogant age when testosterone began to run rampant. Well, my first brother had the IPOD in his hands when the second accused him of hogging the device for too long. They got into a big argument that escalated quickly into a fist fight. I tried to stop what was happening, but they both tackled each other to the ground – rolling around like wild dogs. I heard something crack at the same time my brothers did. All of us bolted upright and my first brother removed the broken IPOD from beneath the two of them. It had a cracked screen and looked in respects to be quite dead. I was furious and took it from them, telling them they weren’t allowed to listen to it anymore – not that they really could anyway with its being broken. When Mom got home she made everything right, however. She got online and looked up cheap IPOD repair and found a company that specialized in IPHONE 3G lcd digitizer and those kinds of technical repairs. We packaged the IPOD and sent it off to the IPOD repair business address expecting it to take a while. Imagine our surprise when we got it back only a couple of weeks later! Actually, not even a couple of weeks. A little more than one, I suppose. But the IPOD was as good as new. It looked like nothing had ever happened in the first place. My brothers still weren’t allowed near it, though.
