Stories About LCD Screen Repairs for Apple's IPOD in Maine
It’s not the most glamorous job in the world, but being an “entertainer” certainly has its perks. And by “entertainer” I mean a clown. I perform at children’s birthday parties and, on occasion, a few fund raisers. I know how to make balloon animals and balance pies topped with whipped cream; I can balance rubber balls, bowling pins, or whatever the crowd can throw at me; I can even do a few magic tricks that would wow any fifth grader. The pay is pretty good, too. Especially when I’m called in last-minute. You see, when parents call me because their main attraction backed out or they suddenly decided to throw a party, I have every right to raise my rates. And I do just that. For this most recent party, however, I probably should have just turned them down altogether. Like I said, being a clown has its perks. Unfortunately, the perks have just as much possibility for turning into liabilities. Anyway though, I got the call when I was least expecting it and charged my usual extra fifty bucks. The parents gladly agreed and I was booked. I showed up for my performance right on time, and managed to get through the main acts with no significant difficulty (although there was this one little kid in the front row that kept trying to trip me). About half of the way through my act, I had planned to save the best – my magic – for last. One little girl up front began insisting that I do my juggling performance again, however. The rest of the crowd of ankle-biters took up the call and before I knew it, I was being dared to juggle a CD case, an IPOD, and a dog bowl. No problem… or so I thought. You see, the weather here in Maine (especially in Portland, of all places, during the winter) is no place for a patio party. I don’t know what these parents had been thinking but my fingers were almost frozen solid. I decided to go ahead, however, and started to juggle the best that I could. It didn’t take long to warm up and eventually the numbness has almost subsided. That’s when I felt the sneeze. It just kind of crept up on me – the first sign that I’d been out in the cold for too long – and exploded in a torrential wrath. I, of course, dropped what I had been juggling and heard the crowd of kids gasp. One of the little ones crept forward and retrieved the IPOD, which had been flattened by the dog bowl and now sported a broken apple lcd screen and needed an IPOD repair. I explained what had happened to the mother and told her the only she needed was an IPOD NANO lcd repair. Needless to say… that performance was free of charge.
