I grew up in a deeply conservative, deeply traditional family. Our hometown was a small town near Monroe, Louisiana… And naturally, as you can imagine, my first and enduring effort was to get the heck out of there as fast as I possibly could. When I joined the Army, everyone was so proud of me. They thought it was a great idea – and I certainly had to agree. I had a chance to defend my country and I had a chance to escape the clutches of small town life. Not that it was necessarily a bad thing… but it wasn’t for me. Not in the least. I needed adventure. Thrill. Action. When I found out I was being sent overseas, to fight in Iraq, I went out and bought myself an IPOD for the sake of it. I thought there would be a bit of down time and I wanted to go prepared. Sure enough, as soon as I set foot in that desert, barren country I realized how valuable any piece of technology really was. My IPOD became one of my best friends because I was always listening to it – even when I really shouldn’t have been. One day came, however, when I decided to let a friend borrow the gadget. I thought I could trust him but… everybody makes mistakes, I suppose. He told me it had been an accident and that he would pay for the IPOD repair, but when he showed me the IPOD I really couldn’t imagine what kind of reckless behavior had cracked it so bad. I was going to need to buy an LCD replacement screen but… all I could think about was where I could possibly find anything remotely technological in that wasteland. Thank goodness for the internet… my friend and I got online and started shopping around for an IPOD and IPHONE lcd screen repair company. It didn’t take long for us to find one who knew how to repair an IPHONE or IPOD. They were centralized back in the States, of course, so I e-mailed them to make sure they could both receive and send my IPOD. Sure enough. So I packaged my device while my friend took care of the billing and then shipped it out. It only took a few weeks to get it back which, given my location, I found to be incredible. I was really happy with the results and even my friend seemed surprised. The damage had been so bad… it was really cool that they managed to repair everything. I know now not to lend out my stuff but… well… I guess I just don’t learn. I let a different friend borrow my IPOD for a short time and this time it was the case that broke. At least I know where I’ll be sending it for repairs though…
