When my son turned seven, my husband and I decided to take him on a vacation to my mother’s house. We live in Georgia and rarely gets the chance to go and visit her. Packing everybody into the car, we thought a road trip would be a really fun experience. I brought my IPOD just in case we got bored and plugged it into my console so we could listen to music and those childish, narrated stories that my son still so enjoys. Cruising down the road, we were singing along and playing games until, finally, my husband and I agreed that a little “quiet time” was in order. My son, never fond of the silence, asked to borrow the IPOD. I told him to be careful with it as I passed it back and he promised he would treat it right. I suppose I should have seen it coming – a seven year old and expensive electronics just don’t mix. I don’t know how he did it or when because the little man hid it under my seat after he broke it. Only when we got to my mother’s house did I even realize the IPOD was missing. I looked high and low for that thing and only found it by accident when I dropped my earring during the search. He had broken the IPOD display right down the middle of the glass… and I had no idea how to fix the damaged IPOD lcd. I went back into the house and consulted my husband about the damage. He said there wasn’t any point in trying to fix it and said we would probably have to buy another one. Not satisfied with that answer, I decided to go online and look for a kind of IPOD LCD replacement screen. What I found was much more encouraging – a repair IPHONE 3g company that would actually do the work for us. I scrolled through the directional information and was relieved to find an inexpensive IPOD repair price quote. It really was going to be so much cheaper to replace the LCD screen instead of the IPOD itself. I asked my mom if I could borrow her address and shipped the IPOD off to the company.
